Brown Bag Lunches with Colloquium Speaker

The colloquium organizer this year, Dr. Matt Johnson (research website), is hosting brown bag lunches for colloquium speakers on Mondays at 12:30pm in PSE 258. A small amount of snacks will be provided, but you should bring your own lunch. This is a great opportunity for informal discussion with various researchers and a good chance to get out of the lab/away from your desk for lunch. You can consult the physics website for the colloquium schedule. If you have any questions, email Matt directly.

Free Stuff from the GSA

The Physics and Astronomy Department ran its annual graduate student orientation and BBQ. It was a great bunch of fun, and thanks to all for coming out. For those that didn’t make it to the presentation portion at 11am, you missed out on some free stuff. The Graduate Student Association always donates tote bags and day planners to each grad department. If you didn’t get one and would like one, please send Jesse or George an email (see Exec page), or drop by our office PSE 328 (though we’re not always here).

The free stuff donated by the York University Graduate Student Association.
